The KC4TM beacon project was created to study low power propagation and as an indicator of 10 meter band openings.

The beacon, a HTX-100 running 2 watts, 24/7 duty cycle using a 3" computer fan for cooling.

The FB-2 keyer (above) comes in kit form and is easily built and programmed using a pc serial port. The antenna (below) is a ground plane vertical mounted at 15 ft.
